Read the information below and then consider nominating a Carroll ISD Employee for the True To The Core recognition program.

For years we’ve wanted to find a way to communicate what it means to be a Carroll Dragon. And now we have!

The Carroll ISD School Board has adopted core values that truly exemplify our mission to educate the children of this community. These values are excellence, relationships, character and integrity, innovation and open and honest communication. And now, you can be a part of honoring one of our Dragons.

Submitting Employee Nominations

To kick off the new year, CISD will allow students, parents, citizens and employees to participate in a recognition program called True To The Core. Each month, the district will highlight a particular core value and will accept nominations to recognize existing CISD employees who display that core value on the job. Nominations can be submitted via email or by visiting the True To The Core link on the CISD website.

Each nominee will be recognized in the weekly electronic newsletter and from those names, a weekly drawing will be held. The winner will receive a $100 gift card, compliments of the We Care employee appreciation program. Prizes will be purchased using We Care sponsor donations and could come in the form of restaurant certificates, gas cards, retail shopping cards, etc.

Anyone can nominate a current CISD employee as part of the True To The Core program. Employees are eligible to be nominated more than once but not by the same individual, increasing their chance to win the weekly drawings. Names will be drawn randomly each Friday at central office and announced in the following week’s electronic newsletter. At the end of each month, all names will be removed and the process starts over with the next core value.

The schedule of core values is provided below:

January - Excellence
February - Relationships
March - Character & Integrity
April - Innovation
May - Open & Honest Communication

Nomination Requirements:

Nominations must include the following:

  • Name of the person submitting the nomination and a contact email address or phone number.
  • Name of the person being nominated and his/her campus or position.
  • Brief description of the reason you are nominating this individual (100 words or less).
