Northwest Administrator Named To Student Services Post

Dr. Lowell Strike

Carroll School Board members voted Monday to hire Dr. Lowell Strike to fill the district’s new position of Assistant Superintendent for Student Services. Dr. Strike is currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in Northwest ISD. He has 27 years experience in education as a teacher, principal and central office administrator.

"I’m excited about the opportunity to become a part of the Dragon family and also a part of the community that makes up Carroll ISD,” said Dr. Strike. “The folks that I have met so far have done nothing but confirm for me that I want to be a part of a district like Carroll. I’m excited about the opportunity to be serving the kids of this community.”

Superintendent David Faltys said he created the new division of Student Services in an effort to increase customer service and support to campus principals, parents and students. His reorganization of central office came after a year of reviewing daily operations. The reorganization plan was supported by an independent review done by Moak Casey & Associates out of Austin. The report identified a number of recommendations regarding CISD’s central office operations, encouraging all divisions to become more service-oriented.

“We’re really exited to add Lowell to our leadership team,” Dr. Faltys said. “His vast level of
experience and knowledge will be a great addition to the talented people we have working here in
the district.”
