Carroll Cancels May Trustee Election

The Carroll School Board recently adopted an order canceling the May 8 General Election for the CISD Board of Trustees, thereby declaring that the election of unopposed candidates John Thane (Place 6) and Sherri Williams (Place 7) be certified. In May, Thane and Williams will be sworn in to serve another three-year term on the local School Board. Having unopposed candidates allows the district to cancel the election and save the $20,000 budgeted for elections in the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
