Save The Date: Dragon Classic 2008
The 2008 Dragon Classic, Carroll Senior High/Carroll High School's annual PTSO fundraiser, is looking for event sponsors. Dragon Classic is one of the most successful fundraisers on the Carroll ISD calendar. This two-day event will be held Sunday, November 16 and Monday, November 17 and is hosted by the CSHS/CHS PTSO in partnership with the Carroll Athletic Booster Club.

Dragon Classic offers sponsors the chance to take part in an auction dinner on Sunday evening, followed by a golf tournament the next day. Sponsorship packages, ranging from $200 to $10,000, ensure recognition at both events.

Half of the money raised will be used immediately to grant faculty "wish list" items for the current academic year at both campuses, with the other half going to the Booster Club to fund athletic needs for grades seven through 12. In the last two years, $198,000 was raised which directly benefited the academic, fine arts and athletic programs thanks to the generous support of Dragon Classic sponsors and CISD parents.

"The Dragon Classic plays a crucial role in funding our teachers' needs from year to year. Computers, projectors, saltwater tanks and calculators are just a few of the items our PTSO has been able to provide, impacting positively on the educational process at Carroll High School," said CHS Principal Rick Westfall. "The Dragon Classic continues to be an integral cog in the fundraising machine. Thanks Dragon Classic!"

Volunteers are also needed for Dragon Classic. To sign up, or for more information, visit the Dragon Classic website at www.dragonclassic.org or contact Maureen Fallon, malmo@charter.net or Amy Zagar, zagarka@aol.com, Chairmen of this year's event.
